Sean Williams, of Maneful, was a guest on the Brand Ambassador Select Podcast. He joined us on our show to share what makes Maneful Fundamental Cocktails the perfect gift any time of the year, especially for those who want to try their skills at DIY home bartending.
A few weeks later, our team came together to do a panel review on a Facebook live stream. The best way to sum up our thoughts about Maneful came from Candi – “A Party in a Box”.
When it comes to Maneful Fundamental Cocktails, the first thing you notice is the box, which is black and gold resonating a bar style feel of years gone by. Then when you open the box you see the recipe cards … the main attraction.
So, what did we think of these recipe cards? They are super cool and Absolutely Awesome!
Once you pick up the cards and begin looking at them, you feel the smoothness and immediately know they are water resistant so if you spill anything on them, it can easily be wiped away. Then comes the smile you make as you start reading the cards out loud. You first notice the nice and easy design layout on the instruction card which explains how to read the recipe cards and two cocktail and ingredient cards that help build your home bar. Then there are the recipe cards themselves, based on different spirits like Gin, Scotch, Brandy and more. Each with a diamond tier format so you can know how flavorful, whether sweet or bitter the drink is.
The front of each recipe card shows you the name of the drink, style of drink, illustration of the drink and of course the flavor level with a fun quote related to the drink. But the back is where the real magic happens, detailing ingredients to be used, what barware and stemware is needed and a few lines to make some notes and notes you will make! While perusing the recipe cards we learned that garnishing specific drinks set the tone for that cocktail experience.
Our overall experience with Maneful Fundamental Cocktails proved lots of fun. We made the Kir Royale easy cocktail and even garnished it with lemon, as suggested. Of course, our lemon garnish wasn’t perfect, but it added that end touch. Think of this box of recipe cards as a cheat sheet for you to take to the store when building your DIY home bar. Everything is clearly worded and explained to help you create that “WOW” factor when your friends and family come over. Before you know it you’ll be impressing everyone when asking “What can I offer you to drink?” then whipping out a card, or maybe you’ve memorized a few recipes, and go to it! Just be ready, because when your guests are having fun, they just might challenge you to mix that drink, you haven’t tried mixing yet.
